It is a sad fact that more than 9000 companion animals are euthanised daily in this country. Pet overpopulation and its many tentacles reaches into our homes, neighborhoods, shelters, rescues, local and national governments; But until it touches our collective heart and consciousness, it will continue spreading its insidious disease: Euthanasia.

My Inspiration: Nina

This blonde beauty is a sassy southern belle from Georgia. Her first human Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and wanted her baby placed in a home in New Mexico. She came to Enchantment Chihuahua Rescue and found her forever home with us in April 2004.

Zephyr

This handsome blue & cream boy is as gentle as a western breeze...hence his name. He was a pound puppy who was saved by Enchantment Chihuahua Rescue and found his forever home with us in July 2006.

Aja

Baby Aja (pronounced Asia) found her forever home with us in May 2008. She was surrendered to rescue at the tender age of five months. She is an energetic, happy little girl who has brought much joy and laughter to our home. She was surrendered because of her aggressive resource guarding behavior. We work with her daily to help her overcome her issues.
